Xorki (Spell): ...  

Medieval Greek word derived from "exorcine" an exorcise (retro formation) word or phrase that is thought to drive away evil spirits.

Α spell can be a prayer, a heartfelt desire an amulet. It can take any form and can be used for any purpose. It can invite love, strengthen it, heal it, invite success and wealth, bring good luck. Greece has always been a place of bright, strong, durable, rough. The woman in Greece was bright, strong, resilient and rugged holding her family and home through her traditions, customs and beliefs. Spit out evil and move on.

This Greek woman, weaving, kneading, cultivating, reaping, was the source of my inspiration. The Greek textile, the Greek amulet shaped my collections.

These forms I want to reflect, that unfolds the thread of her feminine status from antiquity to the present day.

My name is Florentine, I am a mother of two amazing boys. Professionally, for many years I've worked in the field of fashion as a designer and pattern maker. This activity made it clear to me that behind all these words: fashion. trend, must have etc. only one word exist: Aesthetics! 

Now, I have decided to design and make my own collection of handmade jewellery "xorki" by florentine.

With an open mind and heart, every season I get inspired 

to create with different materials,such as silver,brass,semi-precious stones and many others components. Starting from my sketch book and my work bench, with the impatience and longing of waiting -each time- 

a new love.
